Sleep Issues

Thyroid health and specifically hypothyroidism is one of the most heated areas of debate and controversy in medicine. I know I am extremely passionate about treating thyroid conditions. In the US about 14 million people suffer from Hypothyroidism and women are much more likely to be affected with 8 times greater risk of disease. Thyroid disease affects one in five women and one in ten men, however more than 50 percent of people with thyroid disease go undiagnosed.

More than a third of American adults are not getting enough sleep on a regular basis, according to a new study in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.

It is recommended, that adults aged 18–60 years sleep at least 7 hours each night to promote optimal health and well-being.

Sleeping less than seven hours per day is associated with an increased risk of developing chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and frequent mental distress.

Conventional medicine treats insomnia with pharmaceutical drugs that are frequently physically and or psychologically addictive and have numerous side effects.

Other than in some cases testing for sleep apnea, there is no real investigation as to why a person, no matter their age is not seeping well.

Those suffering from insomnia are prescribed drugs like Ambien, Lunesta, Amitriptyline, Klonopin, and Benzodiazepines which are sedatives, hypnotics, antidepressants, and antipsychotics all with significant negative side effects.

Dr Rashel's 9 Essentials To Advance Health

Natural normal sleep cycle is dictated by our circadian rhythm, the intrinsic clock we have that dictates many of our physiologic functions. If this rhythm is disrupted sleep is disturbed. Physiologic or psychological stress, Adrenal dysfunction, hormone imbalance, thyroid disease, nutritional deficiencies causing symptoms such as restless legs, toxins disrupting the bodies homeostasis can all disturb sleep.

Continuous, undisturbed, restful, refreshing sleep is essential for health. If you suffer from insomnia or interrupted sleep we can work together to identify root causes and help restore your natural sleep cycles. We will do this by supporting your body in the areas it needs support including nutrients, hormone balance, blood sugar balance, thyroid optimization and detox. We may use bio-identical hormones, natural thyroid support and targeted adrenal support when needed while optimizing nutrient status and supporting sleep cycles with natural and safe research based targeted sleep support that are safe, effective and natural. All patients who follow the regimen are able to safely get off of pharmaceutical drugs. You can start supporting your body and sleep cycles naturally with my Rejuvenate and Relax Sound Sleep Kit that is safe, effective and natural.
